Saturday 18th May, 10 - 1 pm

Location: Stem and Green Flower Farm,

Join Author & Painter, Becki Clark for an abstract gouache workshop exploring late spring inspiration from the flower field of Stem & Green.

The workshop will begin with you exploring & picking your own blooms from the flower field, filling a large Kilner jar with a bunch of beautiful spring blooms. Becki will then take you step by step through how to create a colour palette that reflects your inspiration, working through how to mix the gouache paint and create different effects with application techniques on the paper.

We will then use the shapes and colours from our picked posies to explore painting in a free-flowing abstract style. Becki will be on hand with tips and tricks to layer the paint, create movement in your paintings and add details with texture. You will work on creating your own abstract exploration of seasonal flowers. The workshop includes your own set of gouache paints and paint brush which you’ll get to take home after the session.

Tea, Coffee & Cake will be provided, and you’ll take home a jam jar full of blooms with your paint set.
