JUNE: Willow Bird Feeder Weaving Workshop 05/06

We are very excited to have basket maker and willow weaving expert Louise Brown join us to lead this masterclass.

Over three hours, Louise will guide you through the basics of willow weaving, from how to manipulate the willow to essential techniques. Together you'll make a beautiful willow Bird Feeder that you can hang from a branch or wooden post in your garden. Then fill with fat balls and enjoy watching your garden birds feed.  

They are much nicer than a plastic or wire feeder. If you are pestered by squirrels that might chew through your lovely feeder, try filling it with nesting material such as moss, twigs, fluff, wool, or even hair!  Your garden birds will be very grateful.  

You will make one feeder in this session. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners - you do not need a previous willow weaving experience.  However, some manual dexterity is required to encourage the willow to twist and to control the shape.

The workshop is limited to 10 places. 

The workshop will begin with a cup of tea or coffee. Louise will then take you step by step through how to create a willow bird feeder. We'll end with tea, coffee and cake and the chance to pick a lovely bunch of fresh flowers. 

All materials, tea and cake will be provided; please dress for the weather. 

Terms:

If heavy rain is forecast, we will move the workshop to another date, and a full refund will be given in the event you can't make the new date. 

If the workshop does not sell at least half the places, we may reserve the right to cancel the event and give you a full refund or offer you the chance to move to another workshop.

A full refund will be given if you cancel 7 days before the workshop; no refund thereafter unless we can resell the ticket.
